Indy Bard Fest

Indy's Shakespeare festival is back for a second year! The annual event runs from October 13 through October 30. The three main shows this year are Coriolanus, King Lear, and Twelfth Night. Founded by & managed in partnership with The Carmel Theatre Company, First Folio Productions, Catalyst Repertory (formerly CRP) & The Garfield Shakespeare Company. Bard Fest Indy was founded by 3 Indiana-based theatre companies to bring a professional quality, yet intimate, Shakespeare festival experience to central Indiana. Through their partnership with The Carmel Theatre Company, Bard Fest is able to not only provide paying work for local area actors, but also provide 3 unique visions under one intimate roof. The Three Musketeers

The world undoubtedly needs a bit more swashbuckling. The Indiana Repertory Theatre opens its 45th season with the classic tale of The Three Musketeers. The show is adventurous and hilarious. It never takes itself too seriously, especially in the first act, and it's incredibly fun because of that.   Jeb Burris plays D’Artagnan with an unending stream of earnestness. He's captivating as a young man devoted to king, country, and the woman he loves. Milady de Winter (Elizabeth Laidlaw) is a classic femme fatale. She is haughty and dangerous, and completely enthralling. Ryan Artzberger, David Folsom, and Nathan Hosner play the title musketeers as Athos, Porthos, and Aramis respectively. They are moody, reflective or jovial in all the right measures. In one scene Artzberger makes a murder feel almost like a prayer. Beef & Boards announces 2017 Season

Beef & Boards Dinner Theatre is thrilled to announce its 2017 season.   Shear Madness (Dec. 29, 2016 – Jan. 29) The season starts Dec. 29 with the Beef & Boards debut of the hilarious hair-raising hit: Shear Madness. The longest-running play in American history, this madcap comedy takes place in a not-so-typical hair salon. When the old lady upstairs is mysteriously murdered, the audience combs through the clues, questions the suspects and determines “whodunnit” so the show is different every time it’s presented! On stage through Jan. 29, Shear Madness contains some innuendo and adult humor, and appropriate for ages 13 and above.   Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (Feb. 2 – March 26)      Starting Feb. 2, the Bible meets Broadway in the first collaboration between Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice: Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.
